Planning Ahead for the Holidays
10 Nov, 15
If you want to be prepared for winter gifting, then don’t wait until December to get started! Last-minute preparations are stressful and draining, so take some time this November to plan ahead for how you want to tackle winter gifting. You’ll find yourself more relaxed and excited for the holidays instead of dreading all the things you have to do!
What are some of the ways you can plan ahead? Here are some tips to help you get started:
Ask for Wish Lists
Wish Lists aren’t just for the kids anymore! Thinking of a creative gift idea for all of your employees every year can be difficult and time-consuming. Instead of putting all of the pressure on yourself, create a “Wish List” box where employees can drop in their suggestions for gifts they would appreciate.
Create a Gift Plan
Fire up a new spreadsheet and start organizing your planned gifts. If you have a lot of recipients, there’s no better way to keep track of them, and you can set up a few columns to plan out which gifts you have, which you still need to buy, and the price range.
Consider Client Feedback
Listening to your clients’ wants and needs is important all year long, and now is not the time to neglect them in favor of giving everyone a standard gift. Get feedback from clients about what they think of your relationship, the company, or even the gifts they have received in the past to create a personalized and conscientious approach to gifting.
Stick to Your Budget
How much money do you want to spend on client and employee gifts? It might be easy to come up with a number, but the hard part is sticking to it. Balance your price with the highest quality gifts you can find in that range, and you’ll keep everyone happy—including yourself!
Don’t let the holidays sneak up on you… start planning ahead now!
