By cleverly combining a robustly flavorful coffee with a hint of soothing Irish whiskey, sweet sugar, and a crown of fluffy whipped cream in 1943 at Foynes Port, Ireland, light-hearted chef Joe Sheridan warmed winter travelers by introducing the lovely concoction now known as Irish Coffee. This yummy beverage unsurprisingly became an airport staple, its’ unique, spicy flavors entrancing passersby. The United States was later graced with its deliciousness in 1952 when Stanton Delaplane, an ambitious travel writer, convinced Buena Vista Hotel bartender Hack Koeppler to recreate the ingenious, flavorful drink in San Francisco. In just four days, we will celebrate National Irish Coffee Day, and we encourage you to make your own rendition of this timeless favorite. Use it as a reason to reward a deserving client as well. Our Coffee of the Month Club is an amazing way to impressively show your client their worth! Send gratitude their way for days to come!
