irish coffee

Sometime in 1943, in the city of Foynes Port in Ireland, an innovative chef by the name of Joe Sheridan had an idea. He decided to present winter travelers with a new heartwarming, flavorful concoction. He transformed a delicious cup of coffee into an even better beverage by adding a dash of Irish whiskey and sweet sugar, completing his creation with a crown of whipped cream. Now, we know this yummy treat as Irish Coffee, and in 1952 the United States received its own taste of the ingenious drink in the city of San Francisco. (Thanks a lot, Stanton Delaplane!) Today for National Irish Coffee Day, we say create your own fancy rendition. Grab a bottle of Jameson or Green Spot and spice up your homemade cup of joe as you relax by the fireplace. Use today as an opportunity for client appreciation as well – send a little coffee and a sweet treat their way with Mon Amie Gift Box!
