Since the opening of the very first poison control center, which was housed in Chicago in 1953, every year we have made strides as a nation towards a true understanding of poisonous chemicals. Thanks to President JFK, the 3rd week of March became known as Poison Prevention Awareness Week. Now, the holiday is celebrated to raise awareness all month long. The American Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or ASPCA, has deemed March as National Pet Poison Awareness Month as well, ensuring that we educate ourselves on the dangers of chemicals for our beloved companions. To participate, begin by learning the location of all toxic chemicals in your household. Keep harmful chemicals out of the reach of children, and pets, and use this month to spread awareness to others. Include your favorite client by sending a few helpful tips on poison control, along with our Yellowstone Gift Box, today!
