In today’s market, there are approximately 10 million woman-owned businesses that are responsible for a staggering $1.3 trillion in revenue! Over 7.8 million people have jobs because of these businesses. Women are responsible for performing 66% of the world’s work while only earning 10% of the world’s income. There is simply no excuse for 1 in 3 women in America to live in poverty. Social entrepreneur and humanitarian Wendy Diamond decided to call shed light on our flawed labor system and salute the hard-working women who make the world go ‘round. She founded the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO) in 2013 to empower, embrace, and celebrate businesswomen across the globe. This movement was also established to bring awareness to the 250 million poverty-stricken women who deserve a fair chance at life as well. On the 19th, celebrate the designated National Women’s Entrepreneurship Day by appreciating a determined diva with Think and Grow Rich for Women, Encore!
