The Friendly Brothers of St. Patrick, an Irish fraternity, adopted green as their official color in 1750. Now green represents St. Patrick and Irish pride, so don’t forget to wear some green for this holiday!

Everyone should feel lucky to enjoy March celebrations, but are the Irish really more lucky than anyone else? It’s been said that the green hills of Ireland grow more four-leaf clovers than anywhere else in the world. Four-leaf clovers are even luckier than the three-leafed shamrock typically seen in St. Patrick’s Day decorations. This ancient Celtic charm symbolizes faith, hope, love, and luck—one for each leaf. What are the odds of you finding a four-leaf clover? 10,000 to 1! You’d have to be lucky to find one, but if more grow in Ireland, then perhaps the Irish really are lucky, after all!

If you’re truly lucky this St. Patrick’s Day, maybe you’ll come across a mythical Leprechaun. It’s said that if you catch one, he will have to lead you to his pot of gold.
