Remember when spring break was spent carelessly sitting on the beach with your toes in the sand, a drink in your hand, and not a worry in sight. What happened?

How did we all of a sudden grow up and swear off all types of fun for late nights at the office and 1.5 days of weekend relaxation. Just because we’ve grown up doesn’t mean you can’t unplug and enjoy yourself. It actually means quite the opposite.

Finding time to relax and do your own thing or spend quality time with your family is proving year after year to be increasingly beneficial to our mental health. Beyond reduced stress and better sleep, scientist have found that vacations improve productivity. With studies showing that for each additional 10 hours of vacation time employees took, their year-end productivity went up 8%. So if you haven’t booked a spring break getaway maybe it’s time to think about it.

Maybe visit Yosemite, the Golden Gate Bridge, or another place so incredible we named a gift box after it!
