As you may already be aware everything from ketchup to cola and even beer has been tried as medicine.

Within the past decade scientist have found evidence in 2,000 year old Nubian bones that suggest they mastered the art of brewing antibiotic beer. When they unearthed and examined the skeleton they found the bones contained the natural antibiotic Tetracycline.

Clearly they were on to something because in the early 1920’s, on his last day of work, the attorney general issued a declaration that made it legal for doctors to prescribe beer as medicine.

Does this hold any merit today?

Actually, yes. With new beer studies constantly happening, doctors have discovered a number of benefits to pair with your favorite cold one. From a decrease in heart disease to a decrease in kidney stones, new health benefits always seem to be emerging. Just remember the key is moderation.
