If you know a service member stationed away from home, you likely know how much they look forward to receiving care packages, something that reminds them of home or something that may just make their tour a little less stressful.

If you don’t know any service members personally and still want to help there are tons of websites that provide details for sending care packages to show your thanks.

But, what do you send?

Troops have little room for belongings and although they wish they were at home with you right now, anything you send to help make their time go by a bit faster is appreciated. Troops have plenty of downtime, so books, movies, and games are all great ideas to send. Some crave their favourite snacks from home like cookies, hot sauce, or flavoring packs. Others are looking for a boost of confidence from home, so send them a handwritten letter to show your thanks and appreciation. You can never go wrong with that.
