Do You Celebrate Halfway to Christmas?
20 Jun, 17
Also known as Leon Day, halfway to Christmas is celebrated on June 25th and marks exactly 6 months until the big day. Leon is cleverly Noel spelled backwards and generally seen as the day to start thinking about thinking about Christmas. A time for homemade gifters to get a head start on their new gift concoctions and a mini celebration for those of us who miss the pleasantness and treats of winter time.
There is no right or wrong way to celebrate Leon Day, the early birds start prepping their Christmas lists, the enthusiasts write their own Halfway to Christmas songs, but most of the population seem to simply mention it at the water cooler. This year we say treat yourself, it may only be Halfway to Christmas, but sometimes the smallest moments make the biggest memories.
