The Importance of Independence Day
27 Jun, 17
We’re lucky enough to call one of the greatest nations on this planet home. We hold freedoms and luxuries that some countries only dream about, and July 4th is our day to celebrate the gift we received in 1776.
Independence Day is not only a celebration of the United States officially becoming a country, but a celebration of the values our country was founded on and the men who fought for them.
The Declaration of Independence states that every person was created equally and was entitled to certain rights, which we still hold dear.
What does this mean in simple terms for us? It means that we have the freedom to say what we think, the freedom to promote, pursue, and defend our ideas, and the freedom to buy handmade chocolate baseballs. And although we may not need them, we certainly have the right to purchase these delicious creations.
Thank you America!
