What happened to hayrides, haunted houses, and bonfires? Fall used to be a time for apple picking with the family and planning your Halloween costume. Now we’re bombarded by teens and pre-teens blasting their undying love for everything #pumpkinspiced over Instagram, while their families stand awkwardly in the background.

Fall has been replaced by the pumpkin spiced challenge and the only goal is to eat everything pumpkin spiced. Did you know there’s a pumpkin spiced cooking spray? What about pumpkin spiced tooth paste, yep that’s a thing.

Now we don’t want to give you the wrong impression, pumpkin spiced has its place in the world and we can live together harmoniously, we just think some folks went a little off the deep end. Don’t you miss warm apple cider?

In fact, we’re going to make a stand and combat pumpkin spiced with apple pie! Let’s bring the back hayrides and haunted houses, put down our cell phones and spend time with our families again. Let’s bring back the deliciousness of Granny’s Apple Pie and family ties together!
