Veterans in the workforce
07 Nov, 17
With Veteran’s Day taking center stage this week we wanted to touch on the importance of Veteran’s in the workforce. Many of our fighting men and women struggle with finding jobs in the civilian workforce, but they possess the unique skill sets your business is looking for.
Veterans are groomed to be goal oriented and hardworking. The military is no place for slacking off, and veterans are trained early that every task has a reason and each is essential to achieving their goals.
They are trained leaders. Veterans are a natural fit for leadership positions with companies, the average recruit is between 19-20 and are typically promoted to high-stress leadership roles.
Hiring a veteran saves you money. Special programs have been put in place through the U.S. Government that help the companies who hire veterans. Employers can be reimbursed
Up to half of their veteran’s salaries to cover supplies, training, etc.
Most importantly, veterans never give up on us so let’s not give up on them!
