how-food-activism-will-rewrite-the-rules-for-restaurateurs-in-2012

Food activism has had a positive effect on unhealthy food practices and preparations in the restaurant industry. The Center for Science in the Public Interest in Washington D.C. is one group that has been critical of the restaurant industry. As a result, this group has successfully used the media to get its message out to the public about unhealthy practices of the restaurant industry. In 2012 the CSPI will attempt to make the following changes for restaurateurs; Nutrition information will give menus and menu boards a new look, operators will rethink how they target children, sugary drinks will come under increasing fire, Smart operators should find ways to shake the salt habit, and a growing interest in whole grains could translate to new doughs.
