why-cant-i-be-like-that

Recently my Baby Kitten celebrated his 15th birthday. (Yes, I got eye rolls for the post I posted on FaceBook about this, no less on my company page! I love my cat; I don’t care.) And as I was writing away, juggling calls, and promo planning, I realized he was just sitting in front of the screen door, taking in the fresh air. He looked so happy. I sat there wondering, “Why can’t I be like that?” I mean, when I think about it, nothing and I mean nothing bothers my cat. He doesn’t have bad days. He does little things to annoy and torment those he tolerates and then snuggles with me at the end of his accomplished day. He stretches every so often. He naps without a problem. He also enjoys watching awards shows, crime shows and Dallas. Meanwhile I run around like a chicken with no head, he sits knowing that everything is going to work out his way at the end of the day. Wow, maybe I should take the time to stretch and learn to sit with that quiet confidence while I take in some fresh air.
