In a society where the world of business has been historically male-dominated, women entrepreneurs are becoming more and more prominent and powerful. Large companies like General Motors, Yahoo, and IMB have women CEOs, and small businesses too have seen an increase in female leaders. There are also organizations such as NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) which help women entrepreneurs forge connections, share experiences, and learn from each other.   Not only are more and more women becoming business pioneers, but they are changing the game with creativity and new perspectives. The face of business and entrepreneurship is indeed changing: leaders are shifting focus from the all-consuming power of profit to using their businesses to better society and humanity as a whole. Customer-centered approaches, environmental consciousness, charity, and even deeper appreciation and connection with clients are all considerations begin given by some of today’s most innovative entrepreneurs.   We at Lucia and Co. value these same ideals of gratitude and client connection, which is why we strive to provide avenues for other businesses to share and spread these values. Through the art of creating and delivering unique, gourmet gift boxes, we help others to demonstrate their appreciation and promote a happier, more positive workplace.   I’ve recently shared some of my thoughts on starting my own business in an interview with food, culture, and news website Sweet Lemon. It is important to foster a community of women entrepreneurs so that we can continue spreading these great values that only further enhance our businesses and client relations.
