new-years-whats-your-resolution
30 Dec, 14
New Year’s is a time for new beginnings, new goals, and trying new things. That’s why resolutions are made this time of year, when everyone thinks about how they might better themselves and their lives. There are a number of popular resolutions made on January 1st; here are a few of our favorite ideas.
Travel
Traveling to a new place can be immensely rewarding, and it’s something that many people would like to do if only they had the time and money. While resolving to travel could mean budgeting and rescheduling, it can also help with another favorite resolution: learning a new language! Going to a different country, learning about a different culture, and trying new cuisine can provide refreshing and exciting experiences that you’ll remember for the rest of your life.
Manage Stress
Many people live hectic, busy lives, which causes too much stress. Learning to manage this stress can be a challenge, but this resolution could also be helped by another: getting more sleep. Many people don’t catch enough of those Z’s each night, making it hard to deal with everyday stressors. Take some time to zen out and have a calming cup of tea, like Blue Jasmine.
Volunteer
Helping others is extremely gratifying and can even promote happiness and positive feelings. You can volunteer at a soup kitchen, donate cans of food, build houses, or volunteer at a local animal shelter—there are tons of ways to help out!
Live Life to the Fullest
What’s the number one thing everyone wants? Happiness! Finding your own happiness will make the future seem brighter and more hopeful, whether that happiness is found in mountain climbing or indulging in your favorite brownies. Living life the way you want is essential to feeling fulfilled.
These are some ideas that we love for planning a positive year ahead. What’s your New Year’s resolution?
