Take 2 of These and Call Me in The Morning

Over the years people have tried to sell just about everything as ‘medicine’ or ‘remedies’ to real ailments, here’s a couple of the weirdest ones we have seen to date.
Ketchup was once sold as medicine and was supposed to be able to treat diarrhea and other maladies.
Coca-Cola was originally intended as a health drink and was sold for 5 cents at soda fountains because people thought carbonated beverages would increase their wellness.
The inventor of corn flakes, John Harvey Kellogg, was looking for something to improve the diet of hospital patients and decided that corn flakes were a great bread substitute that helped digestion (and curbed masturbation). What??
Liquor has been used medicinally since it's conception. Even today, you can enjoy a hot totti for a sore throat, so when the government banned booze, doctors took to their prescription pads. Doctors could lawfully write prescriptions for whiskey, brandy, and even beer that could be filled at drugstores nationwide.
These are just a couple of the weird ones we’ve found and these ‘miracle’ solutions seem to still be popping up. Recent studies have shown that chocolate has some actual health benefits and we choose to believe it. No questions asked. Buy chocolate here.
