This is a question I will ask especially when I hear a client has not only been shopping but executing the distribution of their client gifts as well. Although client appreciation marketing does affect your bottom line, shopping, taping up boxes and licking stamps is not revenue generating activity. Actually, if you were to estimate your billable time by the hour along with any staff you are using to do this PLUS the revenue generating activity they are not doing, executing the delivery of your client gifts just became extremely expensive. Although you may have only paid $20 for your gift, by doing it yourself, you just doubled that cost. Handing this off to an outside company will not only save you the stress, but will free you up to work on your business, not in it and will make you available to your clients as they call and rave about their wonderful gift. Now that’s an investment.
