How to Decorate Your Table for Thanksgiving
This Thanksgiving, we’ve got some simple ways to make your table feel cozy. Put the emphasis on keeping the atmosphere simple, accessible, and charming so that you can enjoy the day with your family.
Incorporate Nature on the Thanksgiving Table – Using a basket you already have around the house, keep your decorations simple by mixing a colorful array of gourds to bring the warm hues of the season in to your dinner place settings. Including a basket such as this will really help to set a relaxing, earthy tone to your meal and it looks great in pictures as your family sits around the table.
‘Giving Thanks’ Notes – We liked an idea we came across on Pinterest…'giving thanks’ prompt cards. Each person has a piece of paper and a pen and will list things that they are thankful for this year. It’s a great activity to do with the kids and it can also work as a great conversation starter as the family remembers some of the positive things that have happened that year.
Vegetable Turkey Platter – Do you want a way to give everyone a smile on Thanksgiving and get them to eat their veggies? The Thanksgiving Turkey Vegetable Platter is very simple and easy to do. He’s pretty cute, too. There are many variations on the vegetarian’s Thanksgiving turkey. Even if you are actually eating turkey this Thanksgiving, serving up an array of vegetables (and maybe even fruits) is a super fun idea to lighten up your family dinner.
This year, make it more about enjoying the time with your family rather than stressing about creating a spectacular centerpiece or having a spotless house.
Happy Thanksgiving from Lucia & Co.!
