Lately, we’ve devoted several blogs delving into the nature of gift-giving as a way to increase connections with loyal clients. Specifically, a few weeks ago ago I wrote about how surprised I was to read in a Forbes article that “80% of your future revenue will come from 20% of your current customers.”
This statistic was surprising at first, but now I feel really excited.
Knowledge is power, and by knowing where to focus marketing dollars, companies know how to grow secure relationships which creates security in more than one way…
If you spend time “watering” the growth with your loyal customers, statistics show they will be the ones to give you “shade” when your business needs it. Your current customers represent the majority of your future revenue – so make it count!
Giving a gift says you were thinking of them. You took time to find out what he likes, or what day is her birthday and you want them to enjoy it!
Giving a gift puts your name on their mind. Not every company they do business with will take the time to send them a gift – especially a “just because I appreciate you” gift. But you did, and that’s going to stick around in his mind for awhile.
Giving a gift spreads the word about your company. Sending a client a gift increases positive feelings and interactions with your brand… and word will get out that you are awesome.
Gourmet gifting conveys confidence. Going for gourmet instead of cheap or mass produced conveys your belief in your own quality of goods or services delivered. You know your image is quality and you stand behind it every chance you get.
